Stockton Cops, Stockton & Lodi Firefighters, San Joaquin County Deputy Sheriffs endorse McNerney

Stockton, Calif. – On October 21, the Stockton Police Officers’ Association, the Stockton Professional Firefighters’ Association, the Lodi Professional Firefighters’ Association, and the San Joaquin County Deputy Sheriffs announced their endorsement of Congressman Jerry McNerney’s re-election campaign.

“Our first responders put their lives on the line in times of crisis, displaying selflessness, courage, and bravery. I am honored to have their support, and I look forward to continuing our partnership and ensuring they always have the tools they need,” McNerney said.

“Congressman McNerney works hard to make sure we have the tools we need to respond to emergencies and save lives. His ability to bring home federal funds for police training equipment is critically important,” said Lon Hudson of the Stockton Police Officers’ Association. “Jerry McNerney listens to us and is a strong voice for us in Washington.”

Matt Baker with the Stockton Professional Firefighters Association echoed those remarks. “Jerry McNerney is a tireless supporter of first responders here in Stockton and throughout the district. He knows we can't do our jobs without support from our Representatives in Washington, and he supports us in any way he can. We are proud to stand with him today because he always stands with us.”

These police officers and firefighters join other law enforcement officials in endorsing Jerry McNerney’s campaign, including former two former Stockton Police Chiefs, Ed Chavez and Lucian Neely – along with hundreds of veterans, mayors, city council members and community leaders in supporting Jerry McNerney.
